 Your privacy is very important to Bachelr. This privacy policy spells out Bachelr's commitment to respecting the privacy of its members and visitors to this site. We reserve the right to change this policy, which we'll do through e-mailings or online posting. Whether you join online or are just visiting, we are very careful with what we do with your information. We collect and maintain personal information regarding our members:  personal information may include your name, email address, mailing address, credit card information and phone number. We may also collect certain demographic information such as your gender, geographical location, language, time zone, income and education (some of the information we ask for may be optional). This is aggregate information which does not identify any individual member.  Bachelr may use or disclose aggregate information for any purpose. 

In this privacy policy, “we,” “us” and “our” refer to Bachelr Inc. and bachelr.comr.  “Site” and “website” refer to  “You” and “your” refer to a specific user of this website.

What information do we collect?

  • We collect information from you when you register on the site, place an order, enter a contest or sweepstakes, respond to a survey or communication such as e-mail, or participate in another site feature.
  • When ordering or registering, we may ask you for your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other information.
  • We also collect information about gift recipients so that we can fulfill gift purchases.
  • Like many websites, we use "cookies" to enhance your experience and gather information about visitors and visits to our site. Please refer to the "Do we use 'cookies'?" section below for information about cookies and how we use them.
  • We collect the domain name and e-mail address (when possible) of visitors to our site, aggregate information on the web pages you access or visit and information you volunteer while using our site.

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you when you registerpurchase products, enter a sweepstakes, contest or promotion, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. When you place orders or access your personal information, we offer the use of a secure server. All sensitive/credit card information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our databases to be only accessed as stated above.  All Bachelr employees with access to personal information are required to follow specific practices concerning its proper handling.

Please be careful whenever sending personal information to us via the “Contact Us” feature on this site or via e-mail.  For example, do not send us your account password or credit card information via these methods, as they may not be a secure means of transferring that information.  In the unlikely event that we believe that the security of your personal information in our possession or control may have been compromised, we may seek to notify you of that development. If a notification is appropriate, we would endeavor to do so as promptly as possibleunder the circumstances, and, to the extent we have your email address, we may notify you by email.

Do we use "cookies"?

Yes. Cookies are small text files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.  For instance, we use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart. They are also used to help us understand your preferences based on previous or current site activity, which enables us to provide you with improved services. We also use cookies to help us compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future.

We may also evaluate our content and services and tailor our site, for members and visitors, based on other information we collect such as pixel tags (or clear gifs), and the type of Internet browser or operating system you are using. We may also use pixel tags in emails that we send to you. This information is collected in the aggregate, but we may tie it to your personal information through cookie use as described above.

We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.  Cookies and/or pixel tags may be placed by our third party service providers, who provide these services on our behalf.

You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser (like Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox) settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies. If you turn cookies off, you won't have access to many features that make your site experience more efficient and some of our services will not function properly. However, you can still place orders over the telephone by contacting customer service.

Do we disclose the information we collect to third parties?

At times we may retain third parties to analyze data we collect on our site, and to administer the services provided (such as shipping, web hosting, etc.), solely to help us provide and improve our products, services and our site. These suppliers and other third parties are not authorized by us to use your personal information in any other way.

From time to time, we may make arrangements with other companies to provide you with joint products or services.  We may participate in cooperative databases.  Database participants provide customer names and mailing addresses, and information about their customers’ purchasing history to the database.  This allows database participants to segment and/or obtain access to potentially interested parties to whom they may target their promotions.

Non-personally identifiable aggregate visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

We may have to use personal information to investigate complaints and protect Bachelr and its members, in compliance with the law and our policies. We may release your information if required to do so by law, including inquiries that are subject to a subpoena, court order or warrant or to cooperate with or participate in legal investigations, or protect the rights, property or safety of Bachelr or other persons or entities.

How can you opt-out, remove or modify information you have provided to us?

If you would no longer like to receive promotional e-mails from us, please let us know by modifying your preferences in the "My Account" section. Please note that due to e-mail production schedules you may receive any emails already in production while we are processing your request.  If you prefer not to have your name, e-mail address and mailing address released or prefer that we not send you e-mail communications about offerings which may be of interest to you, please let us know by sending an e-mail to support@bachelr.

To delete all of your online account information from our database, sign into the "My Account" section of our site and remove your shipping addresses, billing addresses and payment information. Please note that we may maintain information about an individual sales transaction in order to service that transaction and for record- keeping purposes.


Third party links/advertisers

In an attempt to provide you with increased value, we may include third party links on our site. These linked sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these linked sites (including if a specific link does not work).

We may also use third-party advertising companies to serve ads on our behalf. These companies may employ cookies and action tags (also known as single pixel gifs or web beacons) to measure and enhance advertising effectiveness. Any information that these third parties collect via cookies and pixel tags is generally not personally identifiable (unless, for example, you provide personally identifiable information to them through an ad or email message). If Bachelr changes

In the case of a merger, sale or reorganization of some or all of our business we do reserve the right to transfer your personal information and other information.

Collection of information from children

We do not direct any of our content specifically to children.  Users of our website are required to be at least 18 years old.  If we learn that a user is under 13 years of age, we will promptly delete any personal information we have collected about that user.

Changes to our policy

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will notify you either by placing a prominent notice on our home page or by directly sending you a notification.  We encourage you to periodically review this privacy policy to stay informed about our use of the personal information we collect. Your continued use of our website constitutes your agreement to this privacy policy and any updates.  Policy changes will apply only to information collected after the date of the change.
